With 17 years of professional experience, Jessie Huezo brings deep expertise in audit and corporate accounting to Miller CPAs and Advisors. Now in her second year with the firm, Jessie works on audits, reviews, and compilation engagements—primarily for construction clients—where she specializes in cost of completion and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Jessie began her career in a small CPA firm’s audit department before advancing to a top 10 firm in New York City, where she worked extensively with publicly held corporations on 10K audits and 10Q reviews. Her career then transitioned into private accounting, where she served as an accounting manager for several publicly traded companies, overseeing monthly close processes, SEC reporting, and board communications. In 2021, she returned to public accounting through contract work, bringing a well-rounded perspective to her current role. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York, College at Oneonta, and is a licensed CPA.
Outside of work, Jessie is an assistant troop leader for her daughters’ American Heritage Girls troop. She enjoys baking with her children, hiking, biking, and cheering them on at soccer games. Originally from New York, Jessie now resides in Franklinton, North Carolina, with her husband and four children.
